D'Nell

D’ Nell was born form a chance meeting between producer Dan Jones and vocalist Ellie Hajee. D’Nell’s sound is a fusion of breathy, deep, emotive vocal’s with a grainy, hip-hop inspired “Brand New Retro” production.
They cite their influences as early Jazz, Soul, Funk, Hip Hop and inspirational band’s like Talking Heads, Steely Dan, Rotary Connection and Aquarian Dream.
Their debut single ‘This Thing’ has been described as an urban love song with a big downtown sound that rides as easily on Radio one as it does in your most underground of clubs, and featured in Gilles Petersons Radio 1 Worldwide winners top twenty singles of 2003 at number 12 as well as various compilations around the world.
